Delphi XE2 DataSnap Development PDF

The first edition (almost 250 pages) of my Delphi XE2 DataSnap Development courseware manual has been released, and sent to all customers of my previous Delphi XE DataSnap Development courseware manual (which is now "frozen" at the 4th and final edition). Those who purchased the DataSnap XE manual in 2011 will also get future updates of the DataSnap XE2 manual. Others (who purchased before 2011) will receive an e-mail with an upgrade offer to receive the PDF updates in 2012 as well.

The 4th and final edition of the Delphi XE DataSnap Development courseware manual will be lowered in price (to 49 Euro) on January 1st, 2012. However, this title will no longer be eligible for updates or e-mail support (about the topics covered in the manual).

The Delphi XE2 DataSnap Development courseware manual is now available for purchase for the usual price of 99 Euro (plus VAT where applicable), which includes updates until the end of 2012 and e-mail support (about the topics covered in the manual).
The next edition of the DataSnap XE2 manual will have even more XE2 information added, including - but not limited to - 64-bit Servers, FireMonkey clients (for Windows and Mac OS X) and coverage of Mobile clients. The next edition will also be the one to be published on Lulu.com (which currently contains the second edition of the DataSnap XE manual in paperback format).

Bob Swart 11/12/23 23:47:01Yes, for the remaining days of 2011 you will get the DataSnap XE2 manual with updates until the end of 2012 also if you buy the DataSnap XE manual. However, since the DataSnap XE2 manual is basically the DataSnap XE manual with XE2 coverage and topics added (and modified to reflect the XE2 changes), it may be more useful to just use the DataSnap XE2 book anyway (I would recommend using XE2 instead of XE)...

Peter 12/01/01 17:03:47Does anyone know how to build a Delphi component with lot of other objects on it, such Images, Buttons, Lists and Text? Or, how to reuse a Panel with lots of elements, properties and events? Or, how to create a class with lost of visual elements on it?

Bob Swart 12/01/16 17:56:42The XE2 DataSnap book will need to be in a 2nd or 3rd edition at least to be put on Lulu.com. Remember that I cannot "update" a pritned paperback, but can write updates all year long for the PDF edition...
